Snow Goose Festival of the Pacific Flyway

During the Snow Goose Festival of the Pacific Flyway, a large flock of white waterfowl fly upward from a flooded rice field with some of the same type of bird in the foreground walking on land.

The renowned Snow Goose Festival of the Pacific Flyway is back for its 25th year of local birding, lectures, and community fun!

From January 23-26, 2025, attend a variety of field trips and lectures to observe and learn about the nearly 1.5 million wintering waterfowl, raptors, and other birds that migrate through the Pacific Flyway each year – and the tens of thousands that stop in Chico and great Butte County.

This year, the Snow Goose Festival will be based at the Patrick Ranch Museum in nearby Durham, with individual events taking place across the county.
